The wait is over guys, the Xiaomi most awaited smartphone named as Mi 6 will be uncovered on April 19 at 12:00 AM. This information is shared by the company on its official Weibo account.
The information about the work in progress and the launch date was already confirmed by the company CEO Lei Jun a few days ago during the live stream, but the information is now validated by the Xiaomi.
Of course, we already know a lot about Xiaomi Mi 6, but still, it is a good idea to wait for an official announcement about the features and specification.
In my previous article, I have covered lots of rumors which revealed almost complete specification accompanied with the features of Mi 6. In the terms of specification, the phone will feature 5.15-inch 1080p display powered by Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB | 6GB LPDDR4. The device also has UFS 2.0 internal storage size of 32GB | 64GB | 128GB.
Talking about camera, the phone will feature 12MP rear camera accompanied with 8MP ultrapixel front facing camera backed by 3200mAh. The phone will be running MIUI 8 OS which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow or maybe upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat.
According to the leaked image of the Mi 6 SIM tray, the phone will come without a 3.5mm audio jack and come with water resistant capabilities.
The set of the leaked photos of Mi 6 tempered glass protective cover and display glass panel unveil opening for iris scanner at the front.
The phone is also expected to come with the ceramic body the same we see in the Mi Mix and Mi Mi 5. The Ceramic glass with offer premium and sleeker look to the Xiaomi Mi 6. It is also expected that we get a metal clad variant of the phone too.
Talking about the price, the company will launch the standard version of Mi 6 at a price tag of $3199 which cost around $463 and higher model at 3999 yuan translates to $579.
Along with this, rumors also suggests that there will be 5.7-inch plus size version of a phone named as Mi 6 Plus with FHD display powered by the same processor and 6GB of RAM.
Again these features and specification of Mi 6 are rumors, so take it with a pinch of salt.
