Apple’s iPhone 8 is one of the widely rumored high-end smartphones. According to the recent rumor, Apple purchased around 70 million OLED displays for the iPhone 8. The device is also known as “The anniversary iPhone”.
Today another rumor about iPhone 8 hit the web which almost answer the question i.e. How much the iPhone 8 will cost? According to Steven Milunovich, the UBS analyst, the iPhone 8 64GB model could start at price tag of $850 to $900 in the US which is similar to the price of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, which cost around $840 to $850. Apart from this, the Apple iPhone 8 256GB model may cost around $1000 or more.
According to recent rumors, the iPhone 8 will come with a 5.8-inch screen. This time company will ditch the home screen button for the “Function Area” similar to Touch Bar available on MacBooks. This feature can only be implemented with OLED displays produced by Samsung.
Apple’s iPhone 8 with OLED display only have one competitor at the moment i.e. Galaxy S8 Plus with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and cost around $1030 when launched. If Apple really set the price tag of $1000 for 256GB, then it will be the first Apple iPhone to cross four-digit price tag.
